Throughout my career I've overseen development teams located all across the globe, but increasingly I've been managing teams where the individual members are located far from each other. The company for which I currently work is a virtual office. Those of us who are within driving distance of the main office work from our homes most of the time, and only occasionally drive into the office for important face-to-face meetings.
